U.S. Representatives Sam Graves, Emanuel Cleaver, II, Sharice Davids, and Mark Alford have introduced a resolution honoring the 2023-2024 Kansas City Chiefs and their championship season. Congressman Graves expressed, “The Kansas City Chiefs had another incredible season this year. In spite of seemingly everyone claiming the Chiefs were broken, they persevered and proved the naysayers wrong yet again." Congressman Cleaver highlighted the unity brought by the Chiefs to the Kansas City region, stating, "All year, the haters and the doubters tried to downplay the talent, tenacity, and teamwork that made this team truly special, but we knew all too well that they had all they needed to bring another Lombardi Trophy back to Chiefs Kingdom and cement their status as a dynasty."
Representative Davids shared her excitement for the historic win, saying, "I am thrilled to stand alongside our community in celebrating Kansas City's back-to-back Super Bowl victories! This historic win not only unites us all but also showcases the resilience and spirit of our team and fans." Congressman Alford emphasized the team's achievements, declaring, "The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champs again! Back-to-back title wins and three Super Bowls in five years. We're talking dynasty territory here."
The resolution also includes original cosponsors Reps. Jake LaTurner, Jason Smith, Blaine Luetkemeyer, and Zach Nunn. The bipartisan resolution aims to commemorate the accomplishments of the Chiefs' organization, the biggest plays of Super Bowl LVIII, and the unwavering support of Chiefs Kingdom.
